Fairway makes golf-side living for everyone
A unique golf-side community built alongside Pacific Golf Club’s 53-hectare championship course, it has been revealed that majority of residents aren’t moving in for the golfing opportunities.
John and Lynne Carlson are among the non-golfers who have purchased a three-bedroom apartment within Fairway Carindale despite the fact they don’t play the sport recreationally.
“We had an eye on Fairway about five years ago when it was first announced,” Lynne said.
“Golf course living is very appealing. There’s lots of open space, we’re not surrounded by high rises or anything like that.”
“We’ve both tried golf and were so bad at it that we gave it up after about a year. I understand why non-golfers would live at Fairway, though,” Lynne said.
With immaculate community facilities set across more than 2,000sqm of recreational space including a gym, indoor heated pool, external dining and entertaining areas, barbecue facilities and more, it’s easy to see the appeal.

“I would say that besides living on the river, living on a golf course is the next best thing. There’s just so much space around you so it’s not like you’re locked in a unit,” Lynne said.
Foundations are now firmly in place on Pacific Golf Club’s new state-of-the-art clubhouse, a $100 million upgrade which will be a major social hub for the luxurious golf-side retreat.
Lynne said that living alongside a golf course means it will likely always be a vibrant atmosphere full of active people.
“You could also go for a meal at Clubhouse without having to really leave home, which is nice.”
With the Clubhouse basement now complete and the suspended slab almost finished, the final columns and external wall blockwork are now underway
